STILL DOPE

Stahhr is still dope and I can't imagine that she will ever not be dope! A true MC from the heart of the culture, Stahhr popped her quarter in and delivered a flawless victory on the MF Doom produced "Still Dope". This is just one of the treats served up on Stahhr's "Almost Neva Was" album which is available via bandcamp in digital and cd.

NINA FOXX

Jersey City native and member of 201 The Movement (PSTM) Nina Foxx delivers a dope vibe throughout the HBIC video. The beat sets a smooth classy groove, the lounge seen makes you wanna be at the spot, and Foxx's chilled flo and confident delivery combined with her sexy yet classy look makes for a complete package. Please Salute The Queen bc this track is dope!

VASCO

Vasco - I was put on to this MC by Earl Grey. This is definitely my kind of music. This is that cruising in the whip on a chill summer day at sundown or cooling at bbq with endless sticky, some banging ribs, and bottles of that vintage grown and sexy sounding ish! Basically this is that real hip hop. These are the sounds I enjoy hearing coming out the speakers. I'm not gonna get to crazy with this write up and bc the vids speak for themselves. The 1st is Yerba Exotica ft Earl Grey and the 2nd vid is Love/Hate.

FEEL THAT

New video from Earl Grey and Dianetics called "Feel That" and if you can't feel it check your pulse because your senses might be dead when it comes to hip hop music! This is definitely a dope joint with organic urban imagery throughout the video. "Feel That" is definitely worth the watch and listen.

GRAYSCALE BALLADS

"The duo of Tab and A.U.R.C'S debut is simply, "soul music for the searching soul." Together, they take us on a whiskey walk through old neighborhoods of organ keys,midnight-black guitars and gray-scaled-rhyme patterns that flourishes-everything together from pounding-break beat rhythms to delicate string placements, making it feel like Charles Bukowski and Lord Finesse sat down together and made a personal "cd manifesto" on how to find something sacred in the every-day ordinary." Couldn't have said it better myself. This is the type of Hip Hop we encourage at HHHS! Click the link below and get your free copy of the EP.

KID CUBICLE

Check out this first effort from Jersey City's own Kid Cubicle. The video shot by Max Delgado is of great quality and the perspective that KC comes from with the content of his lyrics definitely lent for good imagery. I liked the laid back laxed out flo that Kid Cubicle delivers in his music. He's definitely walking his path and not keeping up with the Joneses.

TRA$H

The video "Bolero Ferrer" features Trash Executioner, a band from Jersey City, and was filmed and edited by Dontique of Art N Culture. I'm definitely feeling this groove. The song is played well the vocals are on point, the lead singer strutted across the screen with major swag, the scenery was entertaining, and you can't go wrong with black and white. An all around good performance by everyone involved in this project!

NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

One of the dopest deliveries and cadences I've heard in a long time. Sol Zalez brings me back to when I first heard that raw underground ish! The flo is raw and uncut and the tracks are head bangers. The only joint on NF I wasn't crazy about was crazy world, probably just not my cup of tea. All around the project was a dope listen and I suggest you go download that. Sol also has another project dropping tomorrow 11/11/11 called "Reisende". Stay tuned for info on that release.

STR8 JACKIT

Every now and then something hot just drops on you from out of nowhere and I don't mean bird sh!t. I popped open twitter yesterday and saw this dude @Coastellano aka East Coast posting links for his music. I clicked the first link hit play on youtube a heard a beast murdering this track with a delivery that sounds like he was born spittin. I hit dude up and he pointed me to STR8 JACKIT. This whole BAD KARMA team (East Coast, Taboo, Tones, and Coal) is pretty sick. We've heard most of these beats before but the way this team kills it makes it sound like the beats were created for them. I suggest you download this mixtape immediately and let me not forget to mention that it's $free.99!!!

EARL GREY

This hip hop definitely has soul. When you hear Earl Grey you know it's Earl Grey due to his distinct voice and the soulful, jazzy, funky, 70's'esque sounds that lay the backdrop on his tracks. EG is an MC from Jersey City that has conscious content delivered well with an almost laid back kind of flo. Link up with EG's fan pages and stay tuned for more content.

ROCK THE BELLS

"Rock The Bells!" A term that just about every hip hop head is familiar with and this release by Venomous2000 and DJ Priority definitely exemplifies the meaning. DJ Priority's production is tight, the cuts are crisp and precise, and Venomous slices and dices his way through this track effortlessly like a true samurai. From start to finish this track is banging! Share the video, download the track via bandcamp, come out those pockets, and lay some bread on the table. For the price of two rolls at the bodega you can simultaneously own a great track and support great artist.
